What Type Of Paper Should A Resume Be On

Although, the content on your resume is what matters most, you should still spend a little extra on the paper you use to make your resume look more professional.
First off, you should always use 81/2” X 11” paper. There are a different variety of resume papers that comes in different thickness and colors. Resume papers should typically be white, cream or light gray. Don’t use patterned or bright-colored paper because it will not look professional. The resume paper you use should not be thin because it can easily tear. You should always use nice paper. The thickness of the paper should be around 20 to 24 lb. Any paper heavier than 24 lb is considered card stock, which is not appropriate for a resume.
