Please don't do this
by: Sha

Sad but true. I cringe when someone says 'somethink' or 'somefink' rather than 'something' - grr just typing it irritates me. Once I was in a room full of potential employees all trying out for the same position. I was amazed to see high school graduates turn up wearing headphones, Metallica tshirts with breadcrumbs and tomato sauce dripping down the front, texting while the interviewer was speaking. And they were late!

Great advice!
by: Marianne

Great advice. Grammar does matter.
An example I encounter far too often from people working in the service sector is "Yous guys." Unfortunately, I think those saying it don't even know that it makes me cringe to hear it. Does anyone else feel the same? Those who are interviewing for customer service help should consider finding out if these are words that the potential employee would use.
