Mr. Robert Stewart
Recruitment Coordinator
VTM Networks
7534 Alexandria Avenue
Sacramento, CA 86747

Dear Mr. Stewart,

I am writing this letter to apply for the VTM Networks Internship Program, which I learned of through VTM Networks Careers Website. I am currently enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles as a Communications major and expect to graduate June of 2012. (Specify internship position desired, current school attending, major, and date of expected graduation.)

I have had a passion for entertainment since I have been watching television and movies. Since then, it has become a goal for me to work in the entertainment industry. A Music and Talent Relations internship with VTM will help highlight skills gained through my Communications classes at UCLA as well as in my previous position as an intern at PMA radio. My experience with the start up radio station served as a foundation for managing relationships with artists, choosing music for radio play, and even scouting for people who can potentially become artists. (Describe why you are passionate about the internship in its respective field. List any experience you may have that is relevant to the position.)

In addition to my internship experience, working in retail at Aldo Accessories has taught me to be both a self-starter and a team player. My experience of over four years as a bank teller for Bank of America has helped me to develop my personal skills as well as the ability to learn things quickly. I am confident that joining your team would give me a chance to develop more useful skills that will help in pursuing my long-term career goal of becoming an A&R Coordinator. (Expand on experience. If you do not have much working experience because this is the first internship you are applying for, you can talk about leadership positions you have held on campus or any other roles that will portray your abilities.)

I am very much interested in the internship and have already met with my undergraduate advisor to confirm that I will be getting credit for the internship. I would like the opportunity to meet with you. My resume is attached. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me by phone at (555) 555-5555 or by email at azapata@ucla.edu. (Give contact information.)

Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon. (Express gratitude for their time.)

Sincerely,

Abigail Zapata
